It really hurts.
It hurts to walk past you in the hallway, and try so hard not to look because I know you won’t either. But I still catch a glimpse at you to see if you care enough to look. It hurts to know that I don’t cross your mind even once anymore. It’s like I’m someone that never existed to you. I just don’t want us to fade away like an old memory. I still want you in my life. I don’t want us to walk without acknowledging each others’ presence because I know that we’re better than that. I know that what we had was, and still is, worth remembering and cherishing forever. We both know that we can’t do that to each other, and we both know that we aren’t strangers to each other. We meant something to each other, but where did that all go? Why did it have to end like this?
